Circus Lab is run and managed by a professional circus performer and trainer Ana Real. Through Circus Lab, she has become known for high-quality classes, workshops, and community events aimed at children between the ages of 5 and 16 and designed to keep participants active and engaged. The activities that she incorporates into her performances and her classes include juggling, hula hoop, devil sticks, diabolo, unicycle, and acrobatics, all selected for the positive effect that they have on self-confidence, teamwork, creativity, coordination, strength, and imagination.


Ana takes great pride in her ability to inspire children and to encourage them to take charge of their lives with her events. She enjoys bringing her unique entertainment stylings to her clients’ primary, secondary schools and other venues.

Ana Real

Ana is a Professional Circus Performer & Trainer graduated from the National Circus School of Cali Colombia. She has a great passion for the arts and the circus Industry. 


Ana specializes in trapeze, silks, aerial hoop, acrobatics, juggling and stilt walking. Her experience and skills has taken her around the world performing on television shows, International festivals, concerts and cruise ships. 


For the past 16 years Ana has taught students and children in New York, Colombia and Australia including at schools such as the National Institute of Circus Arts in Melbourne, Circus OZ , westside circus, Circo Ciudad and French Woods Sports and Arts centre. Ana has experience in teaching people of all ages and a great ability to create and direct shows.

Circus performer

Rockie Stone

Rockie Stone is a physical performer and multi award winning contemporary theatre maker with a drive to create art with circus bodies. As much at home hand-standing on fellow acrobats or balancing on a tower of chairs as she is hanging on ropes and trapezes, she has performed all over the world with renown companies such as Circa, Circus Oz, and Finucane & Smith and directed for Slipstream Circus and Westside Circus. For her independent collaborations she has attracted multiple awards and nominations including “Best Circus and Physical Theatre” in both Adelaide Fringe and Perth Fringe World (Fright or Flight – 3 is a Crowd Ensemble); Total Theatre Award nominations – UK (Fright or Flight – 2013; Perhaps Hope – 2016); and nominations for two Greenroom Awards (2015) - Best Performer in an Experimental & Contemporary Performance; and Best Innovation in Circus and Physical Theatre. Her current work Perhaps Hope (Company Here and Now) has so far toured Edinburgh, Italy, South Korea, New Zealand, most Australian capitol cities and regional Victoria in its short 2 year life.

Tara Gallop-Brennan

Tara Gallop-Brennan is a performer, gymnastics coach & circus entertainer & trainer. She is a qualified Acrobatic Gymnastics judge & intermediate Acrobatic Gymnastics coach with an Advanced Diploma in Arts (Acting). Tara has been teaching children circus for 6 years, whilst also entertaining children with facepainting & balloon animals. Originally from N.S.W she traveled to Melbourne whilst working for 5 months in the traveling Australian Circus: Circus Royale.

Maria Afanador

Maria i an International actress, who started studying Performing Arts in 2008 at the “Charlot Academy”. Continued at “The National Theater House” in her home country, Colombia. Graduated as Professional Actress in 2012. She has worked as an actress in plays such as “44 Minutes to Recover Love”, “The Trojan Women”, “The Real Inspector Hound” amongst others. She has also have been working in some television programs and short films. Since, she has continued her training with several recognized professors and different techniques in South America and Australia.


Before landing in Melbourne, she was performing in different plays around her country; the last play she was part of in South America was “The Beauty and the Beast” at the National Theatre for a complete season. In Australia, on 2014 she performed with the Spanish Theater Company presenting “Erotic Alleluia”, an adaptation of the play by Federico Garcia Lorca at the Mechanical Theater, in Brunswick, Melbourne. She has also performed at La Mama in The Masque of Beauty as Lucrecia Borgia with Peter Green, on 2015 explorations and 2016 for a season. Maria is excited to reprise her role as Woman Alone in “Women on the Verge” at the Butterfly Club and The Italian Institute Of Culture, Melbourne after a successful run at La Mama in 2015. This with her own theatre company, “The Bridge”. She is passionate about theatre and films, and is keen to act around the globe for the rest of her life.

Bianca Sciarretta

Bianca is a circus teacher and has experience in  teaching people of all ages from 3 years old to 70 years old. For the las 20 years she has been teaching kinder circus, pre-teen classes and adults. As well as training her current favourite circus element - partner acrobalance.

When she's not busy with Circus, Bianca trains and plays Roller Derby. Her team is currently ranked #3 in the world, and she's gearing up for the World Championships later in the year.
